Painting tree peonies is such a joy and brings to mind Asian representation of them in their art, so I can't help but be influenced by that. Hence the dark green back ground, the floating leaves, just the
hint of a slight out line. It took me awhile to find the balance for this painting but once it was all in place, I found the restful joy of viewing this image.
