I was given a cheerful bouquet of sunflowers on a special occasion as a gift from a friend. I placed them in this transparent glass vase on my white quartz counter in my kitchen. One morning, the sun coming in from a nearby window lit the vase, counter top and flowers up, but the background was left dark which contrasted dramatically with the vivid sunflowers. I added the scattered petals to the painting to create a more natural and casual arrangement. Sunflowers bring such joy and light to any space. You can enjoy the sun's embrace of these sunflowers that will always be in bloom.
