Wintertime in the canyon brings on new challenges and interest. Challenges in keeping warm and interest in all that an inhospitable terrain can offer. All this set off by an icy view of the unused train car sorting yard at the site of what was once a thriving wood mill in Boston Bar. Echoes of trains still bounce off the walls of both sides of the canyon; the crews for both the CP (now the CPKC) and the CN change nearby. The depot dreams of becoming a tourist spot, while most travelers opt for Highway 5, the Coquihalla.

"I am influenced by the absurdity of daily life and our capacity to overlook or ignore life's warning signals which are all around us. With relish, and ideally mustard, I delve into truth and fantasy, flesh and soul, the novel and the mundane."
