Dennis J Brandt loves painting-- he usually paints to convey a story. Often in his work realism competes with abstract elements-- amidst forced perspectives, a willful disregard for the laws of physics, and/or a notable suspension of disbelief. He is inspired by both the natural and unnatural worlds.
One future goal is to lean toward abstraction even while attending to realism.

I am influenced by the absurdity of daily life and our capacity to overlook or ignore life's warning signals which are all around us. With relish, and ideally mustard, I delve into truth and fantasy, flesh and soul, the novel and the mundane.
