About the Artwork

A story of my artistic revelation in New Mexico, focused on an abandoned gas station in the town of Vaughn. I expected to find a dull and colourless landscape but instead I came to understand the reason New Mexico is known as the 'land of enchantment.' At every turn the sun warmed the land with a spectrum of colour, here painting the windows of an abandoned gas station with the searing reflection of the road.
