About the Artwork

The view down from the 20th-floor balcony of one residential tower to another in Vancouver’s West End. These large apartment blocks have long fascinated me with their geometric designs, patterned architecture, and the way in which their unadorned facades mask the many diverse and colourful stories of those who reside within. So many people living atop, beneath, and between each other, lives interwoven by a shared space, yet each one entirely unique and living in a world of their own.
