For centuries maps were hand-drawn works of art, their fine detail fueling our sense of adventure. Now our interaction with maps has been reduced to pinches, swipes, and vocal AI instructions telling us our turn is coming up in 100 meters. My aim is to bring back the wonder of exploring with our eyes by using precision, relief, light and shadow to reawaken our wonder for places we know and love, and those we have yet to visit.
