Patti Pente

Edmonton, Alberta

Patti Pente is a Canadian artist and professor at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Her work investigates and alters everyday spaces and practices through art that magnifies, reverses, or otherwise changes the usual utility of the space or practice. She considers hybrid practices in virtual and physical worlds. Acts of manipulation in virtual spaces often layer on to physical spaces and materials: AI applications, manipulated landscape painting, sculpture, installation, collaborative performance, textiles, and whatever else catches her attention are at play.
