Shelly Burke
Victoria, British Columbia
Shelly Burke is a graduate of Ottawa University with an Honours B.A. in Art History, as well as achieving a diploma of Foundations in Visual Communication at Capilano University, Vancouver.
She has pursued a career in life drawing, oil and acrylic painting (both plein air and studio work) and also as an instructor for various Toronto art groups and recently teaching acrylic painting classes at The Monterey Recreation centre.
Plein air painting has long been a passion, from Northern Ontario’s sub-zero winters to the more pleasant climates of southern Europe and Victoria.
Shelly has had gallery representation in both Ontario and Victoria, as well participating in the Uxbridge Ontario Studio tour for 20 years as well as receiving various awards.
