The Hindi meaning of recovery is "a gradual healing (through rest) after sickness or injury". While recovering from Covid I had time to indulge in imagining what it would be like to be a bird, flying freely over the landscape. As I looked down with my mind's eye I saw wonderous colors, shapes and lines which became my inspiration for my mixed media paintings.

My art is influenced by the small communities I have lived in over the years. My collage and abstract landscape paintings have multilayers of rich texture and bold colors that reference northern BC. I believe an artist can convey mood, feeling and emotions without using symbolism or realism.
