A transparent dragonfly stretches across, its wings spread as it hovers above the riverbed. Circles overlap across its form like rings, the rapid rhythm of movement: the beat of a wing, a touch on the surface, one moment turning into the next.
Beneath it, the river stones sit in a grid rather than scattered the way nature would leave them. This deliberate order is at the heart of this piece. There is a steady structure beneath life's current, and calm remains even while everything above it shifts.
The dragonfly is a symbol of transformation. It spends months or even years underwater before climbing into the air and unfolding its wings. It stands for adaptability, lightness, and living fully in the present, it reminds us that change is something to grow into rather than resist.
There are areas that carry a subtle shimmer, shifting as you move past it, so the painting itself seems to change with you. I Am Changing is a meditation on becoming. It is a daily reminder that peace comes not from standing still but from trusting the ground beneath us as we move.
