It’s funny how sometimes a place reaches out and speaks to the soul. They have a sort of magic about them that calls you back, and each time you return, you find something special and new. Mound Island near Farewell Harbour has that effect on me. Perhaps it’s the fact we’re usually the only people there, or the way it’s beautiful in sun, rain or West Coast mist. I wanted to capture the feeling of tranquility and contemplation that this special part of the Broughton’s inspires; I hope you can feel it too.
