Wild refuge explores the intimate relationship between a wild creature and the natural world that shelters it. A deer emerges from a dense veil of foliage, its body partially concealed among delicate branches and leaves. Its direct, watchful gaze creates a quiet encounter with the viewer, while the surrounding vegetation seems to draw inward, offering both concealment, and protection.

"« I cannot refrain from a totally abstract art that clings to nothing, yet pure realism bores me. My quest is to create an emotion of awe and wonder by incorporating whimsical or surreal elements, such as fantastical backgrounds or unexpected juxtapositions of color.""
