Beverley Chicoine
Kelowna, British Columbia
Beverley grew up on the big sky Saskatchewan plains and now lives in the lovely Okanagan valley. She also lived on Salt Spring Island for a time. These diverse landscapes and their unique flora and fauna are the inspiration for her art.
She's experimented with a myriad of art forms: oil paint, watercolours, acrylic, pastels, sculpting, illustrating, stone carving, etc. All have helped her to appreciate her subject matter and grow as an artist.
She paints realistically. She strives to harness the beauty of the world around her through whatever medium she's working in. Continuous learning helps her stay engaged and she's participated in innumerable workshops, courses and weekend retreats over the years.

To cut through the clutter of an image intense world to engage you, even for a brief moment, would be all I could wish for. Something made me think this particular subject matter worth the effort to try to capture - I hope you think it worth the effort too.
