I stopped by a farmyard in Saskatchewan one day to take some reference photographs of a lovely old stone barn. While there this Old English Sheepdog and her fiery red-headed companion came out to see what the fuss was about. Clearly, I was paying far too much attention to the dog, so her owner decided to make it clear who's pet this was. Point taken!

Beverley Chicoine paints realism. She aims to harness whatever it is that inspired her to paint her subject matter and serve it up in such a way as to engage and delight the audience. This gives her joy.
"To cut through the clutter of an image intense world to engage you, even for a brief moment, would be all I could wish for. Something made me think this particular subject matter worth the effort to try to capture - I hope you think it worth the effort too."
