Helen Teichroeb
Camrose, Alberta
I’ve always had an interest in art, and tried my hand at painting many times over the decades. In 2017 it became my passion and replaced all my other interests and hobbies. Catching the light on a subject, and the way it affects the colours when combined with shadows intrigues me and I need to capture it.
I love the blendability and potential to realism that oil painting gives me, so I do several every year in oil. But I Also enjoy painting in acrylics, and probably most of my work ends up being in acrylic. There are many subjects I yet want to delve into painting, but fruit, Foliage, landscapes and animals

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
And “right” is open for interpretation, so only I will know when it’s done. (But that won’t stop me from asking your opinion)
