Jacqueline Primeau
Vancouver, British Columbia
Jacqueline Primeau is a painter and a poet who lives in Vancouver, BC. She paints landscapes and mixed-media paintings in an expressionistic abstract/ semi-abstract style. For her, painting is poetic expression. Her painting process is exploratory and intuitive. In her mixed-media paintings she uses acrylic paint and a variety of collage materials. She has a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal. Jacqueline identifies as Metis. A recurring theme in many of her abstract paintings is “Mystery and Uncertainty.” She wants her paintings to be somewhat ambiguous to allow the viewer to create their own meaning.
