Anita Pistor
Harrow, Ontario
Anita Pistor retired from creating custom upholstered furnishings. Seven years later, during the 2020 Covid lockdowns a painting hobby turned quickly into an obsession and selling art has become a means to support this habit.
In the beginning she painted realism in a variety of subjects. Later, a fascination with modern impressionism developed and found it's way into her "Signature Florals" with an emphasis on loose yet deliberate strokes, and vibrant colours.
In May 2023, she opened her own summer art gallery proudly displaying several pieces which have been recognized both nationally and internationally.
As a new award winning artist, starting late in life, she paints with only one goal, "to enhance your environment and make you smile".

"I never paint to make social statements. We have enough of those today. My only goal is to use colour and cheerful or peaceful subjects to enhance your environment and make you smile."
