Tammy Wolcott is a self-taught artist who lives in Calgary Alberta with her husband and crazy Golden Retriever. After attending the University of Calgary and obtaining degrees in Pure Mathematics and Geology, she embarked on an exciting 25-year career as a geologist. Along the way, she and her husband raised two kids. When she retired, she began painting, and her favourite subjects to paint are, not surprisingly, rocks. Tammy especially enjoys painting them with water, snow, or ice. Her goal is to create paintings that show depth and a strong value contrast, and as a result, appear three-dimensional.
