Vernon, British Columbia based painter Lana Schuster is an internationally selling artist and an exhibiting member of the FCA. Having studied and worked in the arts all her life, she draws her inspirations for her experiences in nature to create her landscapes, abstracts, florals, and portraits. Schuster loves so many things about painting - the paint, the brushes, the bare canvas, but most of all she love the process. Combining knowledge, experimentation, curiosity, and trust, she finds the process mesmerizing and deeply satisfying. Starting from a memory in nature or painting directly within nature can lead to a likeness or something altogether different. Creating new work surprises her every time.
