Melanie MacVoy is a contemporary painter based out of Fernie B.C. Canada. Exhibiting throughout the Kootenays for almost 20 years, her artwork is collected by international art lovers and outdoors enthusiasts alike. Proficient in acrylics, Melanie’s paintings feature interior old growth cedar trees and rocky mountain landscapes. She is inspired by exploring wilderness areas and painting outdoors “en plein air” which lends a certain authenticity of experience and emotion to each MACVOY painting.
When I take a deep breath of this atmosphere, rich with oxygen and life, my spirits are renewed and I’m inspired to paint.
