Pat Palmer
Nanoose Bay, British Columbia
Pat Palmer grew up in Calgary, Canada, and has since 1969 lived in Australia, Canada, Singapore, the USA , and the UK. In late 2011, she returned to Canada and now resides in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia.
Taking the opportunities presented along the route of her travels, Pat has participated in various fine art classes including degree courses at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada, and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore.
Her work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions.
Pat is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. She is also a member of the Art 10 Gallery in Nanaimo, Artward Bound, and the Cathouse Studio.

I enjoy working from life, pursuing both plein air painting and drawing from live models.
In the studio I am inspired to experiment with encaustics and oils in a very loose abstract style. I have recently begun experimenting with ink and stick.
