Donna was born and raised in the Peace River region of northern British Columbia. She studied visual arts at Thompson Rivers University and Northern Lights College and considers herself blessed to have spent time in Ireland painting in a castle.
Charcoal is one of Donna’s favourite mediums but she also works in watercolour, pastel, encaustic, acrylic and printmaking.
She has exhibited her work internationally including having work travel through Spain, France and England.
My favourite subjects are people. I want my portraits to show the emotion, expression and the beautiful quirkiness that is within all of us.
