Roberta Murray
Red Deer, Alberta
I see life in poetry, and poetry in life. As a child I loved rhymes and limericks, as well as art. The two have always been connected as a way of recording the emotions and spirit in a way normal language fails. You can speak the words to someone and have them understand, but through a poem or painting you can speak in a language people can feel in the depths of their soul.
Roberta’s work reflects her passions, dreams and desires regardless of the medium she works in. Birds, wildlife, flora, and the human experience – though not necessarily in terms of reality, are all explored in her work.

"I don't paint the subject. I paint my spirit disguised as the subject."
