Cindy Revell SFCA
Sherwood Park, Alberta
Cindy Revell paints in her country studio overlooking a flower filled yard. Her artistic life began in childhood with reading, drawing and dreaming. It morphed to illustrating magazines, children’s books, packaging, painting commissioned furniture pieces and fine art. Cindy created Project Heroes®, an eighty portrait exhibition, with two other artists. It was recently acquired by The Military Museums in Calgary, AB.
Cindy is a passionate instructor who teaches weekly classes, workshops and is a Mastrius mentor.
Still a dreamer, Cindy’s imagination spills into her oil paintings. Her inquisitive birds, flowers and uncommonly coloured creatures come to life in gardens, interiors and still lifes. They fuse in an exuberant and spirited mix that implies ‘what if’ and ‘anything is possible’.

Inspiration can be found in the pistachio colour of aspen trunks in the rain. the old fashioned flowers that I grow in my garden, and the red winged black birds near my pond. Simple things. I also find it in the old masters, folk, naïve art and global patterns.
