Ann Carroll
Vancouver, British Columbia
Ann is a Vancouver painter and member of the Vancouver Art Guild. She has been painting for over 20 years and has attended many classes, first at the Vancouver School Board and later at the Vancouver Academy of Art and at workshops put on by the Federation of Canadian Artists and various painters in the community.
Her first paintings were exclusively watercolours. " I was fascinated by the vibrant, flowing, translucent colours and their unique ability to intermingle and create magical effects. I have now switched mostly to oils using the same palette. I enjoy the unhurried nature of painting in oils, their buttery texture and the sculptural feel of painting in this medium."

I think I am an eclectic (maybe the better word is scattered!) painter. I paint whatever catches my attention. Hence, you will see a variety of subject matter on my pages. The unifying element is colour.
