Penguins are curious creatures and very inquisitive. I love the composition and the bright colour of this painting. It really does pop. But what I like best is the narrative between the four birds. The middle king penguin views the incoming albatross with suspicion; the one on the right questions the situation; while the third penguin is not at all bothered and preens. It seems like there are three kinds of penguins in this world. Penguins who make things happen, penguins who watch things happen and penguins who wondered what happened!
