About the Artwork

The painting creates its mysteriousness in the dark shadows of the dense draping’s of branches overhead. The forest floor is interlaced with patterns of cool shade and of warm slashes of sunlight. Passersby meander under the looping boughs seemingly poised to swoop them up before they escape the heavy canopy into the sunlit open forest beyond.
