The photo for this picture was taken just before the most beautiful sunset. I took it for my book "Walk by Water" The pinks in the colour preclude the lovely scene that followed.I painted the beach with an undercoat of umber and dry brushed colour over it . It gave the effect of water over the sand that I wanted. This is all about the peace at the end of the day with the reflection of the birds on the wet beach
