Old Growth Cedars stand as resilient elders watching over the forest. It is unimaginable to think that an 800 year old cedar was only a sapling in 1221 and is still alive today sheltering new growth, supporting wildlife and acting as a carbon sink. What events throughout humanity such as wars, disease, forest fires, lightening, settlement/development, logging etc. has this tree survived to make it this far?
