The foremost emotion I am attempting to convey is joy: it is all around us in forms we may not see or appreciate. A warm bed to crawl into, a comfortable chair to sit in, a warm cup of tea and a book that will take one to places never imagined. These are my simple pleasures.

Veronica Funk
Airdrie, Alberta
Veronica Funk was raised in northern Manitoba, studied Art & Design at Red Deer College and is currently studying Art History through Thompson Rivers University. The focus of her work is to create stories through layers of acrylic colour and pattern, inspired by contemporary street art.
"Even after completing and exhibiting my work numerous times throughout the years, I still question myself. I wonder if I'm good enough but then remind myself to focus on the process, not the end results."
