When the call for the same subject but a different painting included 'A Pear, A Chair and A Vessel' I immediately gathered together items from around my home. The pear was one I had recently made of clay and painted in acrylics and using texturing media allowed me to capture the shapes of each item on the paper. (Tinyan Chan Award)

Veronica Funk was raised in northern Manitoba, studied Art & Design at Red Deer College and is currently studying Art History through Thompson Rivers University. The focus of her work is to create stories through layers of acrylic colour and pattern, inspired by contemporary street art.
"Even after completing and exhibiting my work numerous times throughout the years, I still question myself. I wonder if I'm good enough but then remind myself to focus on the process, not the end results."
