There's nothing like an evening paddle at the end of a warm day; especially when it's so calm the reflections are like a mirror. This day was in early October off of Saysutshun (Newcastle) Island in Nanaimo Harbour. The evening glow encases all the edges in its golden light. The calmness of the water is broken by the gentle movement leading up to slack tide.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
