This was a truly inspired painting for me. I had went swimming in the ocean near Neck Point Park close to sunset time, mid-August. I was on my bike and could see some nice colours forming in the sky, so I went back home to get my good camera, and rode back down to another beach in the park, aptly named, "Sunset Beach." There I was amazed (yet again!) by the ever changing gorgeous colours of the sunset. My focus was on the sunset colours highlighting the crashing waves.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
