You can see these Haida Watchmen poles on Summit Hill Park in Prince Rupert BC. I was there in 2024 on a rare clear night during an auroral storm. The park was lit by the lights of the hospital, with many people out watching the aurora after 3:00 a.m. I lived in the North for several decades and never tire of seeing these amazing phenomena in the night sky. The Watchmen poles seem to stand testament of the First Nation's peoples care for the earth.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
