The scene is in Pipers Lagoon Park; and resembles the view as seen in many beach parks on Vancouver Island. I enjoy the challenge of depicting the myriad of light plays on the water. Sometimes the sky is perfectly reflected on the water's surface, sometimes the shore is reflected, and sometimes you can see through the water to the rocks under the surface. In this scene there are glimpses of all those possibilities.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
