We took the kayaks out one evening just before sunset and the colours just before the golden hour were vivid and glowing. This is the view from the kayak; in reality there are several different points of land, but at high tide it looks like one island from the west side. I love the challenge of reflections. Shack Island, North Nanaimo, near Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. The shacks are passed down to family members of the original fishing shacks from the 1930's.
