The old town in Girona, Spain is a maze of narrow, cobblestone alleyways flanked by medieval architecture. While on vacation I spent days wandering through the area marveling at the history and came upon this view; a man standing in the entrance to a shop in a desolate street. I instinctively took a photo. Why was he there? What was he waiting for? I reproduced this scene using a combination of acrylic paint and collaged papers that I printed myself.
