About the Artwork
I created this painting after sorting through a late-season pile of chrysanthemum blossoms. Their faded, fragile leaves caught my attention—their subtle depth, softened by age, seemed almost damp, burnished by the quiet light. There was something beautiful in their delicacy and decay, a fleeting moment I wanted to capture in paint.
