Not all homes have four walls. The Ukrainian Matryoshka nesting doll is traditionally a symbol of family and unity. When the doll is opened, the survival of the family is revealed, and with it, a memory of security. A home, once safe, can easily be toppled over and fractured with the destruction caused by war.
