Part of my 2020 Skyscape Collection.
In 2020 I did a watercolour a day to celebrate the amazing Alberta skyline in its drama and changing beauty. The aim was to capture the instant and feeling of the moment of that day. Of course, in March 2020 COVID-19 happened and my body of work changed it's meaning on me adding that it is a reminder of mental wellness, to go outside, and more importantly that no matter where you are or if you are quarantined that the sky connects us all and you aren't as alone as you might think.

Misty Ring
Edmonton, Alberta
Misty was born in the heart of BC’s interior and grew up passionate about the beauty of the mountainous landscapes around her. Moving to Alberta in the early 2000s, she found the same love for the raw beauty of the prairies – in particular, their vivid and dramatic skies.
"Overwhelmed with the beauty of the natural world with a goal to provide the essence and feelings of the natural experience."
