About the Artwork

Part of my 2020 Skyscape Collection's monthly series that is location based with a focus on different cloud types. January showcases both Banff, Alberta as well as a rarer cloud type of a lenticular cloud which is only found around mountains (Mt. Fuji has them routinely). It is named for that anticipation you feel for your next trip to the mountains with friends or family. That excitement to create new memories and go on new adventures.

Misty Ring

Edmonton, Alberta

Misty was born in the heart of BC’s interior and grew up passionate about the beauty of the mountainous landscapes around her. Moving to Alberta in the early 2000s, she found the same love for the raw beauty of the prairies – in particular, their vivid and dramatic skies.

"Overwhelmed with the beauty of the natural world with a goal to provide the essence and feelings of the natural experience."
