Braving frigid temperatures in a zodiac I surrendered to the cold to complete this sketch of an outstanding crenelated tunneled iceberg. It sat serenely grounded in a bay in the Weddell Sea, Antarctica.Tough, cumbersome and resilient when frozen, light, fluid and ephemeral as melted water. The white flag will be our own surrendering as a species if we do not call a truce upon our broken polluted and climate plagued earth.
