Between our present home in northern British Columbia and our past home where we grew up in Saskatchewan, the Columbian Icefield is the midway point where my husband and I feel like we've left the shire. We always stop here, when going east or west, at this space that acts as a connecting bridge between life in the prairies and life in the forests of northern BC. It's an opportunity to pause and reset before pushing on.
