Two little Black Capped Chickadees have discovered just the right place for their Summer Home amid the network of fir tree branches wrapped in soft, vibrant green moss, deep in this temperate rainforest. A very friendly and social bird, Chickadees typically build their nests in wooded areas with moss in a tree hole or limb. To make a cozy nest for their chicks, they line it with items such as fur hairs and other soft materials.
