"Snow leopards are also known as "Ghosts of the Mountains" - they are elegant and elusive. Perfectly adapted to the cold, barren landscape of their high-altitude home.
Hunting, habitat loss and declines in natural prey are amongst the greatest threats to the species. Climate change also threatens Snow Leopards, as rising global temperatures can severely impact alpine habitat and prey.
This Snow Leopard peers out from a craggy rock ledge. The animal’s spotted grey and beige fur allows it to blend in almost completely with the rocks, making the cat a nearly invisible hunter – a true “Ghost of the Mountains”.

My journey as a Wildlife Artist is one of constant learning. Choosing subjects, learning about their struggles as a species, developing ideas for how best to paint them are ongoing for every painting - bringing that image out in paint is an absolute joy and so rewarding.
"“One of the strengths of wildlife art is its ability to tell stories. In my paintings I try to bring out the individuality of each animal as it goes about its everyday life - I use my brush to tell their stories.""
