These grain bins are slowly falling apart- weathered, scarred, and worn- but they’re also incredibly beautiful. What makes them even more meaningful is that they’re lovingly maintained as a memorial to Jaydon, a teenager gone far too soon.
I was drawn to the contrast: decay and care existing side by side. Paint fading, metal rusting, grass growing on… and yet someone keeps showing up for them. Someone remembers.
This piece is about what remains after loss: memory, love, and the quiet ways we hold onto what matters.
