This piece is an honour to the legacy of my dearest friend as I follow through and share her end of life. The yellow flowers represent her resilience and the distressed container, the vessel from which her strength emanated. The painting is seen through a veil of amber, like a soft memory of all the thinkgs we did together, all the feelings we shared. This is a testament to her life, and the rebirth of spring.
I am visiting past experience and personal ritual using flowers as the protagonists in this expanding series.
