I'm so in love with yellow flowers and I paint them whenever I can! My continued exploration with warm and cool colours as well as a limited palette are the catalyst for this series of paintings which depict semi-abstract blooms. I'm working to bring the essence of the shapes to the piece, while adding only enough detail to suggest the natural world. The many layers of mark making and play on the panel before the final shapes emerge are hidden in this piece.
