2026 Sandra Boorne
Apr 1 - May 31, 2026
Sandra Boorne is an abstract floral painter known for her sophisticated color palette and strong sense of design. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, she blends organic forms with abstract shapes to create vibrant, layered compositions. After earning a diploma in Graphic Design, Sandra spent more than 25 years in the flower industry, designing gardens and owning a flower shop. In 2010, she returned to painting full-time and has since exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, as well as in collaboration with various galleries. She is a member of the Women’s Art Society of Montreal, Artists in Montreal, La Route des Arts, and an exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her process is intuitive and layered, built through gestural mark-making and the addition and subtraction of paint. By revealing underlying textures and forms, she creates a sense of depth and history within each composition. Sandra works primarily with acrylics and oil pigment sticks and maintains her studio in the historic town of Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec.
